Kiaf 2021
Studio fnt was responsible in building a new identity design system for Korea International Art Fair (Kiaf) celebrating its 20th anniversary, and also graphic design for the 20th event. We tried to capture the reputation of Kiaf that has been established as Korea's representative contemporary art platform, while incorporating its future direction of portraying a younger, and more flexible look and feel.
The new logo expresses artistic vibrancy and energy by developing upper and lowercase letter combinations that makes it feel like written contents. The simple geometrical forms added on to this convey a sense of scale and reliability. These formative elements were created with the intention to be continuously used in the designs for Kiaf events going forward. They ever-changingly express the harmony and relationship between the elements that make up the art fair, namely, the artist, the work, and the audience.
