Kiaf 2022 & Kiaf Plus

In 2021, Studio fnt established a new visual identity system for the event that marked the 20th anniversary of Kiaf, and rolled out related graphic designs based on it. This year, similarly, we took charge of developing graphics for the 21st Kiaf exhibition. In addition, we newly designed the exhibition identity and event graphics for Kiaf Plus, which was introduced this year for the first time.
Kiaf Plus deals with various genres such as NFT and new media art, targeting a younger audience. With this in mind, we wanted to express the expansion of art and the diversifying aspects of media. To do this, we dealt with dot-based print media to pixel-based screen media, from 2D to 3D, from spatiality to temporality and from tangible to virtual.

This year, we increased the use of motion for Kiaf and Kiaf Plus graphics. While efficiently conveying each of the individual visual identities of Kiaf Seoul and Kiaf Plus which are held in different locations during the same week, they express a sense of unity and consistency within the context of Kiaf.
Such togetherness was conveyed by connecting them in the way that they both expand from flat surface graphics to three-dimensional. The flexible and lively look and feel of an art fair was effectively communicated by using media of various sizes more actively and extensively, especially as they are scattered throughout the exhibition space and the metropolitan area.
