Public Design
KCDF, Korea Craft & Design Foundation, is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, in charge of promoting public design designated by the government. Public Design, which plays one of the most important pillars of KCDF’s business, aims to achieve a vision of safe, convenient, and dignified life and design that you can feel in your life.
The Public Design brand was developed in 2021 as an integrated visual system that anyone can easily understand and communicate with these visions and goals. The Hangeul logo is designed so that the two O bases are connected in the form of an infinity symbol to express the interconnectedness to create an open community that can be enjoyed together.
In addition, the vision of the five public design promotion strategies: adding life safety, for everyone, adding life convenience, improving the quality of life, and strong foundation is visualized with a pictogram of the same formative principle.

Subsequently, a design system was sequentially developed and applied for the sub-programs of public design, the Public Design Forum, and the Youth Designer Internship Program.
In addition to the logos of each program, the Public Design Forum, created with the motif of speech balloons that are being created, and the Youth Designer Internship Program, created with the motif of youth’s self-expression and growth, are the color system of the top brand Public Design.
