Public Design Festival 2024

One of KCDF’s key initiatives, ‘Public Design,’ took the form of a festival starting in 2022 to engage with the public. Studio fnt developed the event's identity for its inaugural year in 2022 and has continued to oversee the design in 2023 and this 2024. Public design aspires to integrate social and cultural values such as fairness and sustainability alongside its pursuit of aesthetic and organized visual qualities. In designing the event, we sought to achieve this balance while delivering the joy of a festival that invites wide participation.
The visual elements were crafted using bold, clear shapes and colors, ensuring accessibility for individuals across different cultures and age groups, and designed to be adaptable to a variety of locations and environments. These elements were applied nationwide to spaces reflecting the significance and values of public design. For the 2024 theme, “Blooming through Inclusion,” emphasizing universal design principles, we developed variations and dynamic applications that bring this concept to life.
